Pakistan preparing to host the country’s largest defense exhibition

The 11th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2022, which will feature innovations and advancements in “arms for peace,” will begin in Pakistan the following week.

At the four-day event, 500 exhibitors from 64 nations will take part in a variety of activities, including reviewing top-notch advanced defense technology demonstrations and international seminars.

The exhibition aimed to bring together the defense industries from all over the world to display their most recent technological advancements. While Austria, Romania, and Hungary are taking part in the defense exhibition for the first time, Washington and Moscow are also among the exhibitors this year.

The exhibition this year exceeded previous benchmarks in terms of space, booking, exhibitors, and delegates from both home and abroad, added Brigadier Naveed Azam Cheema. He continued by stating that the Karachi Expo Center was fully booked.

Beijing and Ankara are taking part at full capacity and Turkish companies booked two complete halls for showcasing their products, while there’s one hall for China.

An international seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Defense Market: A Paradigm Shift in Military Strategy and National Security” will take place after the formal inauguration ceremony.

Pakistan railways raises prices to make up lost revenue

Pakistan Railways has raised the fares of Tezgam, a daily express train service, in order to reduce the projected deficit. Following the floods, railway losses were expected to be at an all-time high, and now the state-owned railway company has raised the economy class ticket of Tezgam from Rawalpindi to Karachi from Rs2,000 to Rs3,500.
